Faek Falak was born in Syria in 1988 and moved to Germany in 2014. He first entered the world of film in 2018, working as an electrician on Anja Badeck's short film "#Wannadie". In the years that followed, he gained hands-on experience primarily as a production manager on various shorts and TV productions. As a producer, he also worked on commercials, short films, and the documentary "Durch die USA mit Wolfgang Fierek - Ein gespaltenes Land vor der Wahl" (AT 2024). Falak's 14-minute short film "High Spirits" (2025), about five friends living through a wild night, screened at festivals including the Show Me Shorts Film Festival in New Zealand.

Faek Falak made his feature-length debut with "To My Sisters" (2026), a documentary about three women whose lives have been shaped in different ways by the war in Syria, the terrorist group ISIS, and patriarchal violence.
