Biography
Eileen studies feature film directing at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München. In 2012/13, she spent an additional year at the ESAV in Toulouse, where she got a master's degree. Her graduation film "Was bleibt" (engl. "Touch Me") was nominated for the student Oscar and the First Steps Award and ran at the Camerimage Int. Film Festival, Max Ophüls Preis and in Palm Springs among others. In June 2022, her episode of the documentary series "Brotrebellen" "Nicolas Supiot und die Alchemie des Backens" was televised on ARTE. In the fall of 2024, her first feature film "Marianengraben," for which she also wrote the screenplay based on Jasmin Schreiber's Spiegel-bestseller of the same name, had its premiere at the Filmfest Hamburg and won the price for the "Best International Breakthrough" at the San Diego International Film Festival.
