Cordula Kablitz-Post, born 1964 in Aachen, studied German studies, dramatics, and English studies in Munich and Berlin. In 1994, she set up the film and TV production company "Medusa" – but left the company already one year later to set up the production company "Avanti media" that specializes on TV documentary films and portrays in the domains of art and culture together with her colleague Edda Baumann-von Broen. Among the company"s best-known projects are the TV format "Durch die Nacht mit..." for the TV channel Arte (Kablitz-Post directed several episodes of the series) and the experimental and satirical talk show "Talk 2000" with Christoph Schlingensief.
Furthermore, avanti media produced the multiple award-winning feature film "Sophiiiie!" under the label of "avanti fiction media GmbH" in 2002. In 2009, "Sophiiiie!" was followed by another production for the movie screen, directed by Cordula Kablitz-Post: "Christoph Schlingensief - Die Piloten" is a documentary film about the progression of the chaotic pilot episodes of a fictional talk show by Christoph Schlingensief.
