Benjamin Radjaipour, born in Tübingen in 1990, began studying acting at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) in 2013. During his studies he already appeared on stage at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam, the Berliner Volksbühne and the Theater Lübeck, among others.
Radjaipour also made his film acting debut as a student with a smaller supporting role in the experimental period drama "Die Verlorenen" (US/DE 2015) by American film artist Reynold Reynolds. He also belonged to the ensemble of the short feature film "Der hermetische Zirkel" (2016).
At the annual Theatertreffen for acting students in 2016 Radjaipour won the Solo Prize of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research for his portrayal of Doc Dockson in the play "Fallobst im Westen". After graduating from UdK in 2017 he became an ensemble member of the Münchner Kammerspiele in the 2017/18 season. In 2019, the theatre magazine 'Theater heute' named him up-and-coming young actor of the year.
Benjamin Radjaipour played a leading role in the youth drama "Futur Drei" ("No Hard Feelings", 2019) by Faraz Shariat. He embodied the director's alter ego: a son of exiled Iranians who has to do community service in a refugee shelter and spends an exciting summer with two Iranian siblings he meets there - and falls in love with the brother. At the First Steps Award 2019 Radjaipour received the Götz-George Young Talent Award for this role together with Banafshe Hourmazdi and Eidin Jalali. He was also nominated for the German Acting Award in the category of young talent. In autumn 2020 "Futur Drei" was released in German cinemas.
