Summary
María Ángeles, 79, has lived for decades in the Spanish quarter of Tangier, Morocco. Her apartment on Calle Málaga is, for her far more than just a place to live: it holds memories, routines, and a sense of home she is unwilling to relinquish. The view from her balcony onto the neighborhood streets is part of her daily ritual, anchoring her firmly in her surroundings. When her daughter Clara decides to sell the apartment, María Ángeles is shocked. Moving into a retirement home is out of the question. Instead, she devises strategies to defend her home - sometimes pragmatic, sometimes wry. Amid this quiet resistance, new encounters and unexpected possibilities begin to open up.
