Summary
The documentary follows the dragon boat team Küsten Pinkies, made up of women who have survived breast cancer or live with its consequences. Under the guidance of their coach Yvonne, they prepare for the Dragon Boat European Championship in Ravenna. But it's about more than just sport: for them, training is healing, community, and a way to show strength. The film follows the women over the course of a year — from the North Sea to Italy — through training, setbacks, and personal achievements. The story especially focuses on Konni (70) and Jasmin (43), who faced the disease at very different stages of life and found support within the team. The Küsten Pinkies are part of the global "Pink Paddling" movement, and their journey to the European Championship becomes a symbol of personal triumph, solidarity, and the strength to start a new chapter after a cancer diagnosis.
