Elise Krieps was born on September 8, 2010, in Berlin, the daughter of actors Vicky Krieps and Jonas Laux. Through her parents, she was exposed to the world of film from an early age. Her first small cinema role came in 2021 alongside her mother in the historical film "Corsage," where she briefly appeared as young Margaret Spencer.
She took on her first leading role in "Karla," which premiered at the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival in early 2023. Krieps played a 12-year-old girl in 1962 who seeks to take her father to court for abuse. The film was released in German cinemas in fall 2025.
