Summary
After weeks of illness, Robespierre awakes from fever dreams – by this point his former comrade-in-arms and now foe Danton has already returned to Paris. A bitter power struggle to determine the course of the French Revolution erupts between the pleasure-loving Danton and the ascetic Robespierre.
