Biography
Markus Ott was born in Ludwigsburg in 1992. After completing his bachelor’s degree in Time-Based Media at Mainz University of Applied Sciences, he studied cinematography at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg and La Fémis in Paris. In 2024, he graduated from the Film Academy; in the same year, he was also awarded the Young Talent Prize at the German Cinematography Awards. Markus Ott was a scholarship holder of the Rhineland-Palatinate Young Media Fund and the Baden-Württemberg Foundation. His first feature film, "Sechswochenamt", is due for release in cinemas in July 2026. He lives and works in Berlin.
