The footage shows a visit by Kaiser Wilhelm II to Braunschweig (Brunswick) in 1913 for the christening of his grandson, Ernst August. As was customary in the German Empire, Braunschweig celebrated the visit with lavish festivities known as "Kaisertage" (Imperial days). In addition to Wilhelm II, who wears a skull and crossbones hussar's cap, Eitel Friedrich of Prussia, Sophie Charlotte of Oldenburg, August Wilhelm of Prussia, Alexandra Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, and Frederick Francis IV, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg can be seen.
