Senior citizen Zev lives in a nursing home and is increasingly suffering from dementia. He has trouble remembering lots of events and he has even already forgotten that his wife Ruth died two weeks earlier. One day, his friend Max hands him a letter and advises him to follow all of the instructions it contains painstakingly. The letter sends Zev on a search for a man named Rudy Kurlander who is, in fact, a former Auschwitz block warden. He was responsible for the death of Zev's and Max's families in the extermination camp. Now the somewhat clouded Zev is supposed to take late revenge. To do so, however, he first has to find the right Rudy Kurlander out of four living persons with the same name.
