Summary

The documentary charts the athletic development of big-wave surfer Sebastian Steudtner, from his beginnings in southern Germany - far away from any coastline - to his international career. It traces key stages in Germany, in Hawaii, and along Portugal's Atlantic coast in Nazaré, where he achieved his greatest successes. Through interviews, footage of demanding rides on massive waves, and private archival material, the film builds a portrait of an athlete who has established himself in one of the most dangerous disciplines in water sports despite repeated setbacks.
