Summary
Documentary on the carnival season in Cologne. Over the course of one year, the film accompanies individuals who have dedicated their lives to the "fifth season": For instance 82-year-old Biggi, who has been training young dance revue girls for decades now. At the same time, the innkeepers of the traditional pub "Weißer Hollunder" prepare for their last carnival season, while hopeful stand-up talent Tobias has to audition before a strict commission in order to get his first bath in the limelight. They all live and breathe carnival, and their passion is awe-inspiring – even if one doesn't share it.
