The correct date is 1936-1943. Begun at Paramount Pictures, Los Angeles but not completed there. Completed later with funding from the Museum of Non-objective Painting (Guggenheim Foundation), New York. Fischinger completed this film in Los Angeles. Original nitrate materials and distribution prints are with Center for Visual Music in Los Angeles.
