Biography

Mike Hodges was born in Bristol and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1954. He served in the Royal Navy from 1995-1997 and started his career in television as a writer in 1998. He worked as a producer/director on the "World In Action" series from 1963-1965 and "Tempo" from 1966-1968. He made his feature directorial debut in 1969 with "Suspect" and followed this with "Rumour>/B>" (1970), "Get Carter" (1971), "Pulp" (1971), "The Terminal Man" (1972), "Flash Gordon" (1980), "Missing Pieces" (TV, 1982), "Squaring The Circle" (TV, 1984), "Morons From Outer Space" (1985), "Prayer For The Dying" (1988), "Black Rainbow" (1990) and "Croupier" (1997).
