Biography

Alex González was born August 13, 1980 in Madrid, where he attended the acting school of Juan Carlos Corazza. From 2004 on, he appeared in several Spanish TV series. He made his feature film debut as an aspiring boxer in "Segunda asalto", and was promptly nominated as Best Actor at the Goya Awards for his performance.

 

Following more performances in Spanish feature films, he joined the illustrious cast of the Hollywood blockbuster production "X-Men: First Class" which was released in 2011. The same year, Maggie Peren's political drama "Die Farbe des Ozeans" ("Color of the Oceans") premiered at the Munich Film Festival: Opposite Sabine Timoteo, González stars as a cynical Spanish boarder guard who enters a moral conflict which affects both his private and professional existence.
