Biography

Timocin Ziegler was born in 1986 in Eggenfelden, Germany. In 2010, he began his studies at the Neue Münchner Schauspielschule; during his time in Munich, Ziegler appeared in several short films and numerous theater productions, including the revue "Shakespeare geschüttelt" at the Lauinger Stadttheater (2010), "Romeo und Julia" at the Studiobühne München (2011), and "Herz aus Gift" at the Rationaltheater München (2012).

In 2012 he moved to Berlin, where he successfully applied to the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst 'Ernst Busch'. During these years he performed on stage in Heiner Müller's "Hamletmaschine" at the bat- Studiotheater (2014), in "Der neue Menoza" at the Volksbühne Berlin (2014) and in the title role of "Fabian - Der Gang vor die Hunde" at the Schaubühne Berlin. After graduating in 2016, Ziegler joined the ensemble of the Munich Volkstheater. There he appeared in productions of "Glaube Liebe Hoffnung", "Hedda Gabler" and George Tabori's "Mein Kampf".

Timocin Ziegler made his film debut in 2015 with a small role as a refugee activist in Jan Krüger's social and relationship drama "Die Geschwister" ("Brother and Sister"). He had further supporting roles in the award-winning sibling drama "Windstill" and in the social drama "Zwischen uns" (2021). Andreas Kleinert cast him in the Munich "Tatort" episode "Flash" (2022) in flashbacks in the role of the main suspect at a young age.

Ziegler played his first leading role in a feature film in Christoph Hochhäusler's "Bis ans Ende der Nacht" ("Till the End of the Night"), which premiered in competition at the Berlinale in 2023. In the film he played an undercover police officer who is tasked with winning the trust of a criminal and gets caught up in an unexpectedly emotional love triangle.
