Biography

Ruby O. Fee was born in San José, Costa Rica on February 7 1996. Raised by her German mother and French stepfather, she grew up in Brasil before the family relocated to Berlin in 2007. Fee, who attended the Béla Bartók music school, made her screen debut in a small role in Benedek Fliegauf's drama "Womb" (2010). She then was cast as one of the leads of the children's TV show "Allein gegen die Zeit" (2010-2012), and began to take acting classes with Karen Cifarelli.

After her turn in "Löwenzahn – Das Kinoabenteuer" (2011), she starred opposite Moritz Bleibtreu in "Die schwarzen Brüder" ("The Black Brothers", 2013). Her performance garnered Fee the award for Best Female Actor at the children's film festival Goldener Spatz. On TV, she had major roles in "Lotta & die frohe Zukunft" (2013) and in the acclaimed "Tatort" episode "Happy Birthday, Sarah" (2013), for which she won the Günter-Strack-Fernsehpreis. This was followed by memorable turns in Detlev Buck's "Bibi und Tina" (2014), Andreas Dresen's "Als wir träumten" ("As We Were Dreaming", 2015) and the children's film "Gespensterjäger" ("Ghosthunters – On Icy Trails", 2015). After playing a punk girl in "Rockabilly Requiem" (2015), she starred in the TV productions "Die Hebamme" (2015) and "Shakespeares letzte Runde" (2016).

After appearing in the comedies "Seitenwechsel" (2016) and "Verrückt nach Fixi" (2016), Ruby O. Fee was cast in the titular leading role in the psychological drama "Zazy" DE/CH 2016).
