Biography

Louie Betton was born on December 29, 2001, in Berlin to Danish-Australian parents. He began receiving acting lessons in 2010 and played a bigger role in an episode of the crime series "Rosa Roth" in 2012. He then landed further television roles, including as a child of divorce and the son of the main character in the comedy "Mein gebrauchter Mann" (2015). From 2015 to 2017, he had a recurring role as the son of the main commissioner Nina Rubin (Meret Becker) in the "Tatort" crime series. After that, Betton appeared in guest roles in various series, including "SOKO Leipzig," "Morden im Norden," and "Letzte Spur Berlin." 

In Andy Fetscher's horror film "Old People" (2022), a Netflix production, he had a noteworthy role as the former crush of Bianca Nawrath's main character. Louie Betton made his big screen debut in a leading role in the coming-of-age road movie "Morgen Irgendwo am Meer" (2023). The film, based on a novel by Adriana Popescu won awards at multiple festivals, and premiered in German cinemas in June 2024.
