z.B. Otto Spalt

BR Deutschland 1987 Kompilationsfilm

Summary

The Case of Mr. Spalt
Between 1978 and 1987, film maker René Perraudin made five comedy short films starring Otto Sander in the leading role. These five short films were later put together to a film called "z.B. Otto Spalt" (The Case of Mr. Spalt) and connected by a framework story. The satirical film tells the story of director Otto Spalt who in vain tries to get subsidies for his new film. But he struggles with an absurd bureaucratic system that decides on the allocation of subsidies.
