Summary
All types of fruit and vegetables are available to us year round – but the effects on the workers who make this possible are ignored. Their picking speed is more important than their living conditions. It quickly becomes clear that Europe is dictated to by the market and not by the people. In "The Pickers", the camera reveals endless swathes of farmland and the people who suffer for our luxury.
