Summary
Vienna, the near future. Big companies have all the power. Careerist Vincent Baumann sells "death insurances", the only chance for citizens to avoid becoming artificially kept-alive organ donors after their demise. Vincent is an opportunistic follower of the system, who ruthlessly tries to rise within the company's ranks. Yet once he meets activist Lisa – by definition his enemy –, his worldview gradually begins to change and human values start to matter for Vincent. Maybe he and Lisa can actually overcome the system and find happiness?
