Summary
Documentary on Isabelle Caro, a successful fashion model suffering from anorexia. In 2007, she took part in a campaign to raise awareness for the illness, and weighing only 32 kilograms, she had pictures of her emaciated body taken by star Oliviero Toscani. The images were displayed on billboards in Milano, and the campaign caused an international stir, yet some also criticized it for being easily misread as an advertisement of self-starvation to young women.
Caro continued her own efforts to raise public awareness for anorexia, before she eventually succumbed to the illness in 2010. Documentary filmmaker Kiki Allgeier portrays Caro by interviewing her friends and peers, and through excerpts from a video diary.
