Love From Paris

Cheerful, yet melancholic love story that ends tragically: A pretty Parisian sewer meets a Hungarian painter whom she calls Monpti (short for Mon petit – My little one). Both are full of dreams, very young, and rather poor. But she tells him that she comes from a wealthy family. But when he learns the truth, he hits her in the open street, takes a cab, and drives away. She tries to follow him but runs into a car. Monpti sees her one last time, in the hospital, but then he is alone again. In a dream, he sees her in a wedding dress.
