Summary

The young and inexperienced actress Ela from Berlin gets her first leading role as "Lulu" in the new theater production of the important director Franz Kramer. The project is a great opportunity for Ela, and the pressure to perform among the other well-known actors is enormous. Kramer sells the play as a feminist play, even though the cast is mostly male. Soon Ela and her female perspective on the role are lost. The situation comes to a head when she is sexually harassed by Kramer. Ela tries to fight back, to set boundaries and at the same time to build up "Lulu" as a self-confident character. But this will only be possible if she takes the same steps of self-empowerment in her real life.
