The Emperor Waltz
While staying in the small town Bad Ischl, Archduke Ludwig of Austria meets the charming young teacher Luise and falls in love with her - he simply would give up everything for her. But Ludwig is masquerading as his own adjutant, while his real adjutant also falls in love with the daughter of a pastry cook. Luise comes to know the alleged double-cross of the adjutant and travels to Vienna to ask the empress for help. The empress tells her the truth about her lover, who of course isn′t allowed to marry a commoner. In order not to compromise Ludwig, Luise picks a quarrel. Now, Ludwig can marry a Saxon princess, while Luise is returning to Bad Ischl.
