Summary
Homunculus has made it to chairman of a corporation of businessmen. However, through his callous actions and intransigence, he creates ever greater discontent among the workers. But in truth he is playing a double game: while calling on the bosses to be tough, he is stirring up people's hatred against the authorities, disguised as a worker. Homunculus has a member of the corporation who preaches love and understanding, Sven Fredland, imprisoned. When Homunculus meets the worker Margarete, who is attracted to him, he takes her into his house as a helper and showers her with riches. But the young woman is starts to be afraid of the unfeeling man. She succeeds in freeing Fredland and exposing the homunculus. He is imprisoned, but manages a spectacular escape. Once more he swears cruel revenge on mankind.
