Autumn Milk
Germany at the end of the 1920s: After her mother passed away, 8-year old Anna has to run the household of the family farm. Due to the immense workload, the child has to quit school. In 1939, Anna falls in love with young farmer Albert. They marry and Anna moves in with Albert and her mother-in-law. But when Albert is drafted shortly afterwards, Anna is again on her own. Her life on the farm is further complicated by Albert′s mean-spirited mother, who uses every chance to bully the young woman around.
