This documentary film portrays three cleaning ladies from Berlin in their mid-forties to end-fifties who could not be more different from each other. The attractive and slightly melancholic Ingeborg is a well-read but lonely woman who is looking for a partner and works as a cleaner to at least do something with her life. Gisela on the other hand is a good humoured married woman who works as a cleaner for 35 years and cleans the showcases of luxury stores with her shift at night. The third woman is Delia who came as a young woman from Argentina to Germany with big plans for her life. But she also masters the hard work as a cleaner with a lot of discretion, pride, and humour.
