"Well, I just wanted to die!" the 89-year-old Lenz declares at the start of this magnificent Heimat film by Christian Lerch. Then we get to know him as a spritely patriarch in his natural habitat, a roadside restaurant on the B12 road. A touching film about the intrinsic life force.
