Biography
Cornelia Schneider was born in East Germany in 1964. In 1979, after having attended a Catholic school and lived through a period of rebellion, she began collaborative activities with Mechthild Katzorke that led them to art. In 1985, they settled in the West. From 1986-1989, they studied experimental filmmaking at the Hochschule der Kuenste (HdK) in West Berlin. Since 1986, they have put on performances and exhibitions under the signature "Anita". Their work includes "Milking and Hoovering"("Melken und Saugen", 1992), which was named "Best German Video" at Oberhausen in 1992, "Mummy" (1994) and "Out of Order" ("Stoerung Ost", 1996).
