Christiane Seidel was born in Wichita Falls, USA to German-Danish parents. Growing up in the US, Germany and Denmark, she studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. Following appearances in short films and guest-starring roles on TV shows like "Law & Order: New York" (2010), Seidel became a regular cast member of the award-winning drama series "Boardwalk Empire" in 2011, and stayed on the show until the end of the fifth and final season in 2014.
The following year, Seidel got her first role in a German feature film as the female lead in the comedy "Schmidts Katze" ("Schmidt's Nine Lives", 2015).
