Biography
The American director and producer made his feature film debut in 1997 with "Mouse Hunt". He followed it with works including "The Mexican", "The Ring", the first three films in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, "The Weather Man", "The Lone Ranger" and "A Cure for Wellness". With "Rango", he won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature along with further international awards. His often genre-crossing projects combine visual opulence with character-centred storytelling. "Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die" is his eleventh feature film.
