Biography
Darjush Shokof born in Tehran in 1954, wrote his first screenplay at the age of eleven. He attended the New York School of the Arts. In 1984 Shokof went to of the Arts. In 1984 Shokof went to Europe to pursue his career as a painter. Since that time his work has been shown in many international galeries. In 1992, he moved to New York to contiunue writing, painting, sculpting and discovered film and video as new exciting tools for his artistic expression.
He produced a thirteen-minute video titled "Angels Are Wired" and in 1994 shot his first feature of 85 minutes titled "Dogs Are Not Allowed". From 1994 into 1995, a 72 minute video, titled "Breathful or Ben-Hur, the Breathless Taxi Driver In Casablanca" was produced, written and directed by him. In "Seven Servants" Shokof and Schulze express their views on death through the amazing vision of an old man who experiences life through death.
