Der kleine Vampir

Deutschland Niederlande 1999/2000 Spielfilm

Summary

The Little Vampire

Nine-year-old Tony and his parents move from a big American city to a village in Scotland. One night, the vampire Rüdiger, who is the same age as Tony, flutters into Tony's room. He is on the run from the vampire hunter Geiermeier. Tony protects the little vampire and befriends him. From Rüdiger, the "vampire fan", Tony learns a lot about the customs of modern vampires. He learns, for example, that a comet is about to pass the Earth and that its energy can turn the vampires back into humans. To do this, however, the bloodsuckers need a mysterious amulet. Tony and Rüdiger embark on an adventurous quest to find the magical jewel, pursued by the cunning Geiermeier.

Other adaptations: 1986 as a TV series (USA, KAN, D, R.: René Bonniere); 1993-94 as a TV series (D, R.: Christian Görlitz).
