Born in Friedberg in Hesse in 1977. He studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin (dffb) from 2000-07, also working as an editor, assistant director and actor in film and TV productions. He took part in the Berlinale"s Talent Campus in 2003, and has made shorts and documentaries that have screened at international festivals and on television.
