Detective Chief Superintendent Bernie Kominka finds the terribly mutilated corpse of a man where the murderer has apparently "bitten off" part of his genitals. Kominka′s investigations lead him to a young woman in a red raincoat and slap-bang into a labyrinth of his own emotions. He falls in love with his chief suspect, loses control over his life and is not even able to say whether the woman he loves might, in fact, be a brutal murderess...
