Produced with formidable technical flourishes, the film fully connotes the National Socialist program with the Polish sacrifice in the war of aggression. The spectacular aerial shots of the surface bombardments function simultaneously as a technologist orgy: thus, the film above all, from today′s point of view, delivers a cynical as well as illuminating evidence for the inhuman NS military doctrine.
