17-year old Italian girl Scampolo works as a tourist guide on Ischia and occasionally delivers laundry. While doing so, she meets the nice young architect Costa. Although he is mostly broke, he hopes to win the first prize in an upcoming architecture competition. Until then, Scampolo lends him some money to pay for the laundry. But they are shocked when they learn that their parcel with Costa’s architect’s plans has not been delivered. To still get the plans to its destination in time, Scampolo personally drives to the housing minister to bring him the blueprints. Whether Costa’s plans are chosen or not – the tumultuous events have at least led to one thing: Costa and Scampolo have fallen in love.
