It is the hottest summer evening of the year. Jan, a law student, just broke up with Christine. As he is relieving himself in a nearby park, he discovers Anja - who has just been stabbed to death - and Tony, with a bloody knife in his hand. Did Tony really commit the crime?

"Give me five minutes" he begs Jan - that′s all he needs to prove that he is innocent. Jan does - and follows Tony into a long, dark night full of lies and confusion. Meanwhile, Christine is out on the streets looking for Jan. She meets a man who is, unbeknownst to her, Jan′s boss, Judge Krauss. Krauss talks her into letting him pay her for sex.

In "Kismet", the meanings of law and ethics are taken apart and turned upside down. It is a fantastic psychological thriller with comic undertones - and a nightmare full of desire, manipulation and faux pas.
