"Funny Games", directed by the cultural critic Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke, has always been a controversial film for its disturbing display of violence. A young family of three is taking their vacation in a remote cottage at a lake. Shortly after their arrival, two decent looking men appear at the cottage, introduce themselves politely and ask for a couple of eggs. But soon, the atmosphere shifts, and the neighbourly visit becomes a threat. The two young men lock up the family and take their time to play a cruel and sadistic game that none of the three family members is going to survive.
