Beethoven. Tage aus einem Leben
Inhalt
Beethoven - Days in a Life
Episodes from the life of famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven, who was on the peak of his art during his Viennese years from 1813 to 1819. Although Beethoven′s symphonic work "Wellingtons Sieg oder Die Schlacht bei Vittoria" ("Wellington’s Victory") is regarded with favour, his living conditions are depressing. He is paternalized by his brothers Johann and Karl, is spied upon by the authorities because of his democratic beliefs and depressed by his progressing loss of hearing. Thus, Beethoven becomes more and more of a rebel and outsider. However, the musician′s creative power is undaunted and he is setting up ideas for his "Neunte Sinfonie" ("Symphony No. 9").
