Convinced by the happiness in their relationship, Maren marries her boyfriend Arno. Together, they celebrate a huge wedding party. Although many guests show up, Maren soon realizes that besides her lightly capricious mother very few of her friends have managed to come to the party. Thus, during the course of the party more and more shadows from her past that she thought to have overcome long ago reappear and cast a spell over Maren. Although she aggressively tries not to be taken in by vague insinuations and hints, she gets more and more entangled in a web of strange coincidences and alarming events. Slowly, she starts to reconsider if everything really is as friendly and as harmonic as it seems. But the party seems to conspire against Maren, and reluctantly she starts to falter. And Arno does not realize the trouble Maren is in at all. The more Maren struggles to make "the most beautiful day of her life" outshine all doubts, the more it seems to convert into a day when all her nightmares come true. Maren takes up the fight, but the wedding party strikes back.
