Berlin by the Sea

Hesitant, self-doubting Tom and daredevil Malte could not be any more different – but still are best friends. Connected by their passion for music, they spin records together in Berlin clubs and dream of a great career in the music business. They also apply for music academies to realise their dream. But whereas Malte is lucky to be accepted, all of Tom′s applications are rejected. To make things worse, Malte not only gets a record deal but also gets involved with beautiful Mavie – who in the first place was more interested in Tom. But Tom buries himself in self doubts and finally comes to the conclusion that there is only one way to end his misery: He has to leave Berlin to make a fresh start.
