Although high school graduate Basti tried every possible excuse or trick to avoid it, he is drafted for military service after his physical examination. More precisely, members of the military police take him from his graduation party directly to the barracks. There, newly-arrived Basti has to face harassing superiors with their absurd orders and bizarre maoeuvers in the field. Fortunately, Basti is not the only one who is turned off by war games. Together with his chaotic roommates, he tries to spend his time during military service in the most comfortable way. But then, a friendly manoeuver against a unit of brawny US GIs fuels the ambition of the reluctant soldiers.
