Amiable loser Krischan returns to his home village Tanne in Lower Harz to free its residents from their lethargy and despair with an exceptional project. Krischan wants to stage a big lumberjack competition in Tanne. But at first nobody really likes Krischan′s idea. But with his wit and charme, Krischan finally wins his old friends and colleagues over – and the whole village seems to be full of life again.
