Between the Lines - India′s Third Gender
"Between the Lines" is a documentary film on photographer Anita Khemka′s attempt to depict the lives of Indian eunuchs, the so-called "hijras". Although hijras are outcasts in Indian public life, many Indians believe them to bring fertility even though the hijras are infertile themselves. "Between the Lines" portrays three of these eunuchs who are connected by their physical specialty and spiritual power but have lived completely different lives.
