The 9-year-old Tobi is doing alternative civilian service in a nursing home. Ms. Lichtenberg, an old and lonely woman who needs constant attention, lives in the home. Tobi is planing a big party for this 20th birthday day, but the night nurse doesn′t show up for work. Since it is also coincidentally Ms. Lichtenberg′s birthday too, Tobi decides to take her with him to the party, unaware that she too has some plans of her own...
