Philipp Roth was born in Münster (Westphalia). His first big productions as a production manager were Matthias Glasner"s films "Die Mediocren" ("The Meds", 1995) und "Sexy Sadie" (1996). Roth studied film and TV production at HFF Babelsberg and then worked as a producer for the ZDF TV series "Jenny & Co" (2000/2001). In 2004, his screen play for "Schwere Jungs" was awarded with the screen play award of the city of Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the Munich film festival.
