Born on 4.5.1973 in Lüdenscheid in the Sauerland. During alternative national service worked with refugees and then traveled through Benin, Togo and Ghana. After basic studies in Philosophy and Social Sciences in Siegen, studied Acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Ulm. Since 2000 he is studying Directing at the Academy for Film and Television (HFF) "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Made several short films and directed "Mother and Son" at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater. The irrational Remains is his first full-length documentary.
